What it is
A finishing trade is the last thing done and the first thing seen.
Not every project needs a general contractor. Sometimes it needs a roofer, a façade crew, a tiler who can hold a line down a forty-metre corridor, or a team to take a building out of the ground. We carry the trades below as direct works with our own crews, and deliver electrical, plumbing and HVAC through the licensed installers the law requires, coordinated by us. Earthworks, excavation and demolition are done where legally permitted, with the permits in place first.
What you get
Six things you
hold in your hand
Not promises. Each of these is a person, a document or a report you receive, and can point to if it is missing.
A trade crew with a lead
The right trade, led by someone who has done it for years and answers for the result.
Samples and mock-ups
Where the finish matters, a sample or a first section approved before the rest is done.
A method statement
How the work will be done, protected and made safe, agreed before it starts.
Materials to specification
Bought by us to the specification, or yours checked on arrival and used correctly.
Stage inspections
Substrate, first fix, finish: each checked and recorded before the next covers it.
A cleaned, handed-over area
The work protected until handover and the area left clean, not left for the next trade to tidy.

- You need one or two trades done well, not a whole building.
- Your general contractor is short of a specialist.
- A finish has to be right the first time.
- Ground has to be prepared or a building taken down.
Used for
Typical works
- A façade renewal
- A roof replacement
- An apartment finishing programme
- An office fit-out

- Site clearance and excavation
Questions
Asked before
signing
The situations clients ask about before a works package. Anything else, ask directly.
Do you do the electrics and plumbing yourselves?
Regulated installations are done by licensed installers, as the law requires. We bring them in, coordinate them with the other trades and remain your single point of contact for the package.
Can you match an existing finish?
Usually, with a sample first. Old plaster, tiles and timber can be matched more often than people expect, and where they cannot we say so before starting.
Is there a minimum size of job?
There is a size below which a crew's travel and setup cost more than the work. We tell you when a job is that small, and where we can, we combine it with others nearby.
Who supplies the materials?
Either of us, stated in the quote. We buy at contractor prices to the specification; if you prefer to supply, we tell you exactly what and when, and check it on arrival.
Do you obtain demolition permits?
Demolition and excavation happen only where legally permitted and with permits in place. The permit is the owner's; we tell you what is needed and can prepare the technical parts.
Can you work while the building is occupied?
Often, in phases and with protection and dust control planned. Some trades cannot be done around people, and we say which before quoting.
